Interview Preparation

I've been looking up all sorts of interview tips and preparation advice, so I've decided to put all the best advice I've found here for other people to use.

Be prepared: Pack your bag or briefcase the night before, bring copies of your CV or application, and if you've been asked to prepare anything make sure it is all finished packed ready.

Make sure you have fresh, clean professional clothes that you know will make you look great. Men should opt for a suit, and can make it a little more casual if the interview calls for it, ladies opt for a skirt or trousers suit, or a less formal but smart and stylish outfit if the interview is more laid back.

Get a good night’s sleep. If you are well rested and feel confident and comfortable in your clothes, you will seem confident and happy, which is definitely a good look for potential employers.

Wake up early enough to have loads of time to get ready and get to your interview. Have breakfast at home, brush your teeth and use mouthwash. Don’t wear too much make-up, perfume or cologne, and make sure you leave with loads of time to get to the interview.

Good luck!
